Abu Galum & Coloured Canyon
|
|
|
Drive for approx. 2 hours by Land Cruiser (44) into the desert. Enjoy an hours walk through the Canyon taking in the extraordinary colours and shapes of the rocks. After a short refreshment break and a 20 minute camel ride we move onto the blue hole.
Abu Galum is an area of outstanding beauty with its magnificent mountains, fresh water springs, picturesque sand dunes and beautiful coral reefs.
Abu Galum is a protected area that covers approximately 400 square kilometres, situated on the east coast of South Sinai, right between Dahab and Nuweiba.
It protects various coastal and mountain ecosystems that are unique to the Gulf of Aqaba. The coral reef is mostly undisturbed with a high diversity of reef fish, whose richness of its flora and fauna is overwhelming.
During the Abu Galum safari you will also visit some Bedouin tents and houses, graves of the Bedouins and see famously shaped mountains.
There will also be a chance to enjoy snorkelling if you would like.
Afterwards we venture to Dahab for lunch and shopping before we return you back to your hotel in Sharm.
